This course will cover the laws, the police and the courts and reflect any changes that have taken place recently. Special emphasis will be place on juvenile delinquents and justice for them as well as terrorism and technology issues.

In addition to lecture notes and class work, the class will also feature guest speakers in the various fields of criminal justice. Appropriate videos will be shown as well. There is the possibility of an all day field trip to visit different courts downtown. Last year Family Court was added to our field trip a 1st for this class. Students will get to sit in on actual trials, visit courtrooms, jails, and holding cells.
